Benidorm Competition
Competition entry:
Answer the question stated in “Benidorm” (the ‘programme’). Eligible entrants will be entered into a draw to win a prize.
Opening/closing date & time:
· Competition opens for entries via PRTS, SMS, red button and online as stated in the programme.
· Competition closes for entries via PRTS, SMS and red button at 10.00 a.m. on Monday 14 December 2009.
· Entry via the www.itv.com website is open for at least 3 working days after the programme.
Draw date:As stated in the programme.
Method & cost of entry:
· PRTS - call 0901 29 30 331 and follow instructions; up to 5 entries per phone number. Each call costs £1.00 from BT landlines. Calls from other networks may be higher and from mobiles will be considerably more.
· SMS text – to 60331 with A, B or C; up to 5 entries per phone number. Each text costs £1.00 plus one standard network rate message.
· Red Button – Sky and Virgin Media viewers press the red button on their remote; up to 5 entries per phone number. Each red button entry costs £1.00.
· Online – go to www.itv.com and follow instructions; up to 5 entries per phone number. There is no charge for online entries.
There is no email or postal entry. Entries on behalf of another person are void. Entries over the maximum number of entries for each method of entry and which are incomplete, inaudible, incomprehensible or received after the closing time will not be entered into the competition but may still be charged.
Prize:
The first correct entry drawn at random from all eligible entries will win the prize. The prize is a cheque for £1,000 (one thousand pounds sterling) payable in the name of the entrant only, along with a seven-night trip for the winner and three companions to Benidorm.The prize includes economy class return flights for the winner and their three companions from one of the following airports: Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Doncaster, Liverpool, London Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle, East Midlands, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff or Belfast to Alicante Airport. The exact airport is as to be agreed between the winner and the Promoter and/or the Prize provider, subject to flight availability. In addition, the prize includes hotel accommodation for the winner and their three companions on a half board basis (with breakfast and dinner included but alcohol not included) in Sol Pelicanos Hotel, Benidorm based on two people sharing two rooms, subject to availability. Transfers to and from the departure and arrival airports are not included and it is the responsibility of the winner and their companions to make their own way to the airports/hotel. The winner and their companions must travel together, departing from and returning to the same airport at the same time and on the same itinerary. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure they and their companions are available to take up the prize as specified during the relevant dates. The prize must be taken within a year of winner confirmation, i.e. the date on which the winner i.e. the date that the Promoter has managed to contact the winner and received confirmation of eligibility and the prize is subject to availability at the time of booking. All elements of the prize must be booked and taken up during one period, and not on non-consecutive dates. Flights cannot be upgraded and the winner and their companions are not eligible to earn air miles. Once booking is confirmed changes to the names, dates or nature of the booking are not permitted. The prize is subject to availability and restrictions including but not limited to inclement weather conditions, blackout dates (for example, peak travel dates) where applicable, public holidays and school holidays. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that they and their companions adhere to the travel itinerary and other relevant safety instructions as set out by the prize provider. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that they and their companions are entitled to enter Spain, hold a valid passport with at least six months to run and other travel documentation and visas as relevant before departure, as well as travel insurance. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that they and their companions are adequately insured including without limitation covering overseas medical costs. The Promoter and/or prize provider reserves the right to withdraw, change, cancel or amend any element of the prize for reasons beyond their reasonable control.
The prize is non-changeable, non-transferable and non-upgradeable. There is no cash equivalent or alternative prize. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any costs, liabilities, damages or losses or for any medical conditions aggravated or incurred by the winner and/or their companion in taking up the prize. For the avoidance of doubt, the prize excludes all other costs including but not limited to any additional accommodation, travel/transportation costs including but not limited to car hire, UK transfers, ground transportation, parking costs, any inoculation and/or vaccination costs, hotel supplementary charges, excursions, water sports, spa treatments, telephone calls, room service, mini-bar goods, alcohol, programmes, souvenirs, incidental costs, taxes and any insurance, including but not limited to travel and medical insurance, unless otherwise stated. Other restrictions may apply. The winner must be a United Kingdom resident and aged 18 years or over at the time of entering the competition, and may be required to confirm proof of age and eligibility. The Promoter endeavours to deliver the cheque within 28 days of winner confirmation, i.e. the date that the Promoter has managed to contact the winner and received confirmation of eligibility. The winner may be required to participate in publicity for the prize provider. The Promoter will only pass an entrant’s data to third parties for marketing purposes if that entrant has asked to receive marketing information from those third parties.
The winner will be contacted as soon as practicable on or after the competition draw date on the phone number they provided when entering the competition. The Promoter will not amend contact information provided once entry to the competition has been made. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner. If they cannot be contacted or fail to provide an address for delivery or fail to meet the eligibility requirements as set out in the general competition terms and conditions, and elsewhere as applicable, or are otherwise unable to comply with these terms this may result in forfeiture of the prize and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next correct entry drawn at random from all eligible entries.
