Application Form T&Cs
1. These terms and conditions relate to your application to participate in a talent search competition being filmed for a series of television programmes provisionally entitled “Britain’s Got Talent” and “Britain’s Got More Talent” (the "Programme") which FremantleMedia Limited trading as talkbackTHAMES and Simco Limited (together the “Producer”) propose but do not undertake to produce for ITV. The information given by you in your application may be used in the Programme should you be selected to audition.
2. You are not eligible to apply to enter this competition if you are an employee or a close relation of an employee of ITV plc, FremantleMedia Group, Simco Limited or any parent, subsidiary or associated company.
3. You acknowledge and agree to abide by the rules, regulations, terms and conditions for this competition as determined by the Producer (the "Rules") and you acknowledge that the Rules may be changed (including without limitation verbally) at any time by the Producer in their sole discretion. The Producers’ decisions regarding all elements of the application process, the competition and the Programme shall be final and binding.
4. Applications can be made online at www.itv.com/talent or via the contestant hotline on 09018 80 10 10. Calls to the contestant hotline cost no more than 26p per minute plus 12.5p connection charge from a BT Landline and should last no longer than 2 minutes. Calls from other networks may be higher and from mobiles will be considerably more. Callers must obtain the bill payer's permission before calling. The Producers reserve the right to suspend or close at any time any telephone lines that it may operate in order to facilitate the application process. We cannot guarantee that all applicants will receive a response. Telephone lines close on 11th September 2011 at 23:59, or at such other time as the Producer may elect. Online applications close on 19 February 2012, or at such other time as the Producer may elect.
6. If you are experiencing problems with the contestant hotline, please contact the ITV Viewer Services by phone on 0844 88 14150, or by email at viewerservices@itv.com or itvihelp@itv.com. You will need to give the following information:
a) Your name
b) The telephone number of the phone you called from
c) The number you have been dialling
d) The date(s) and time(s) when you called and experienced problems
e) If possible, your telephone network operator
f) Your contact telephone number if different from (b) above.
7. The Producer, their agents and sub-contractors do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any online applications, telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any messages or applications not being properly received, heard or recorded.
8. Any applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
9. Applicants will be selected and invited to attend an audition at a time and location to be decided at the sole discretion of the Producer whose decision will be final and binding.
10. The completion of an application does not guarantee that an applicant will receive an audition or participate in the Programme.
11. If you are under 18 years of age please make sure that you get the permission of your parents or legal guardians before applying.
12. If you are under 18 years of age and you are invited to audition, you must be accompanied by your parents or legal guardians at the audition. Proof of age will be required at the auditions.
13. Applicants must be entitled to live and work in the UK, and be able to demonstrate that they have the right to live and work in the UK on request by the Producer.
14. Applicants who are not available for a first round audition may still be considered for a second round audition on the basis of a submitted DVD or video clip at the sole discretion of the Producer whose decision will be final and binding.
15. Acts may be invited to audition for the series by researchers acting on behalf of the Producer. Such acts will be required to audition on the same basis as any other Applicant and normal programme Rules will apply.
16. In the event that you are invited to attend an audition, you must ensure that you have obtained all necessary and proper immunisations for any animals involved in your act and you will provide to the Producers all documentation or do any other acts as may be reasonably necessary for the Producers to determine whether the animal is safe to participate in the Programme. You must notify the Producers, in advance, if you intend to:
- perform physical and/or dangerous stunts, explaining the full nature of the stunt;
- use any form of equipment required as part of your act. You will be responsible for bringing such equipment (provided it is suitable for the audition location) and are responsible for ensuring that such equipment is safe and/or suitable for its purposes. Pyrotechnics are not permitted.
17. If you are invited to attend an audition you hereby irrevocably grant all consents necessary for the Producer to film and record such audition and to use recordings featuring your image and/or voice in connection with the Programme and/or ancillary rights in the Programme and to exploit the same in all media throughout the world in perpetuity without the need for payment to you.
18. Should you be selected to take part in the Programme you agree and undertake to enter into further contracts with the Producer and you agree to abide by the terms therein.
19. All personal details and/or information given in your application either in this form or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading.
20. The Producer reserves the right to disqualify you if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, have failed to abide by the Rules and/or are in breach of the terms hereof.
21. You will not without the Producer’s prior written consent disclose, publish or discuss with any third party any information relating to the Programme, your appearance in the Programme, the production team or any participants in the Programme nor any other information which may come to your attention including without limitation in relation to the broadcaster, the Producer or otherwise save where such information is already in the public domain.
22. You must disclose to the Producers details of any criminal convictions and/or unspent convictions other than driving offences which have not resulted in a ban or more serious sentence. You shall notify the Producers immediately if there are any criminal charges brought against you or if any information you provide in your application becomes inaccurate between now and the date of first transmission of the Programme.
23. Data Protection
i.We take your privacy very seriously. The information you provide about yourself as part of the application procedure will be used by the Producer to assess whether or not to select you for the Programme. If you are successful, this information may be used in connection with the production and promotion of the Programme. By submitting this application form you consent to any information you provide, including without limitation any sensitive personal information, being used for this purpose.
ii. We may use the information you provide to verify your age and identity and to carry out background checks with law enforcement and government agencies. We may share your information with ITV as part of the selection process and in connection with the production and promotion of the Programme. If you have ticked the relevant box on the application form we may also use the contact details provided to let you know about other television programmes being made by the Producer which may be of interest to you.
