THE ONLY WAY IS ESSEX: PROMO VIDEO AUDITION INFORMATION
These terms and conditions apply to your participation in the auditions to take part in the filming of a promo with the cast of the programme known as ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
Audition times and locations:
The initial auditions take place on Wednesday 10th August at London Studios, ITV 14th Floor, The London Television Centre, Upper Ground, London SE1 9LT.
Filming times and locations:
Selected candidates will then be invited to take part in the filming for the promo video to take place on either 22nd or 23rd August 2011 at a location to be confirmed in London or Essex. Dates and location are subject to change in ITV’s sole discretion.
Eligibility:
To be eligible to take part in the audition process, you must meet the following criteria:
(a) You must be a UK resident aged 18 years or over.
(b) You must be available to participate in filming in London or Essex on the 22nd or 23rd August or such other date(s) or locations as specified by ITV.
Proof of age and eligibility may be required so please bring identification and proof of age to the auditions.
By taking part in this process, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions and you agree that your personal details, image and participation in the auditions and/or the filming of the promo video may be filmed, photographed or otherwise recorded and may be broadcast and/or published in any and all media in whole or in part, including but not limited to broadcast on ITV television channels and/or publication on the website, www.itv.com in the sole discretion of ITV.
Auditions:
You must attend the audition location on the date and time for the auditions. ITV will not consider those who attend the location outside of these times. ITV does not undertake or make any guarantees that you will be seen at the auditions.
The director of the promo video will select up to 50 people from those who audition to take part in the filming of the promo video. He will base his decision on criteria including but not limited to his experience as a director and those he considers have best ‘dressed to impress’. Selection will be the sole discretion of the director and his decision will be final.
When requested to do so (whether at audition stage or later on), you must fill in a casting form and provide any required information including without limitation your name and a mobile/daytime contact telephone number. You must also complete and sign any consents, releases, waivers or other agreements as required by ITV in relation to your participation in this process. Failure to do so will result in you no longer being considered.
Selection for filming of the promo:
If you are selected to take part in the filming for the promo video, you will be notified by phone on the number provided on the casting form as soon as reasonably practicable following the auditions. It is your responsibility to make sure you are contactable and available for filming. If you do not hear from ITV, you have not been selected.
General:
ITV does not undertake or make any guarantees that you will be seen at the auditions, or that you will be cast in the promo or that your participation in the auditions or the filming for a promo video will be used in any way including without limitation broadcast on-air and/or in any other media. ITV does not undertake that all those selected to appear in the promo video will appear in any final edit. ITV does not represent, undertake or warrant that it will undertake production of the promo video.
You agree to follow any instructions given by ITV, their subcontractors or the staff at the locations. You must also comply with all applicable terms and conditions, requirements, rules and regulations, including without limitation health and safety guidelines and Ofcom regulations.
There is no payment to you for auditioning and/or appearing in the promo. Unless agreed otherwise, ITV is not responsible for any costs, arrangements (including without limitation travel arrangements and costs to and from the locations), expenses, charges, fees, taxes, incidental costs and insurance which you may incur in attending or participating in the auditions or filming of the promo video.
ITV is not liable for any costs, liabilities, damages or losses or for any medical conditions aggravated or incurred by any participant in participating in the audition process or in filming except as caused by their negligence or fraud.
If you fail to meet the eligibility criteria or otherwise fail to meet these terms and conditions, this may result in disqualification from the audition process and/or filming.
If ITV deems (in its sole discretion) your behaviour at any stage to be obscene, unlawful, harmful, offensive or inappropriate, harassing, threatening, abusive or hateful then it may exclude you from further participation in the auditions and/or filming of the promo video. You agree to comply with the rules of entry to the location.
You agree that all information that you provide to ITV is honest, up to date and accurate and you agree to notify ITV immediately if any of the information you provide becomes inaccurate. Any information and other data which is provided by you when you apply will be held and used by ITV and their sub-contractors in connection with the administration and/or production of the auditions and/or promo video. ITV reserves the right to vary, suspend or terminate the auditions and/or filming of the promo video for reasons beyond their reasonable control.
