THIS MORNING “SCWHOPPING” RECRUITMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS
The General Programme Recruitment Terms & Conditions apply in addition to the specific terms and conditions set out below.
1. Contacting the programme:
Anyone interested in participating in the programme, “This Morning” (the ‘programme’) may contact ITV and/or the producers of the programme by email or phone. The lines close as stated on the website, www.itv.com/thismorning or on other relevant promotional material connected with the programme.Please note that the availability of this service may change without notice for reasons beyond the reasonable control of ITV and/or the programme producers.
2. Method and cost of contact:
You may contact the programme producers and register your interest in taking part in the “schwopping” but submitting a photograph of the item you would like to “schwop” with the on-air guest together with your email address, name, location, description of the item and a daytime telephone number to thismorning@itv.com or by uploading a photograph on www.itv.com/thismorning.
3. Eligibility:
Each person is only allowed to enter one potential “schwop” per on-air guest. Entrants may enter potential “schwops” for all contestants, but once an entrant has been selected for a “scwhop”, they will not be considered for any further “schwops”.
4. The “Schwop”
A shortlisted selection of items will be put together by the programme producers at their sole discretion. The on-air guest will choose the winning “schwop” from this shortlisted selection, entirely at their own personal discretion. The viewer who owns this item must then send it into the programme within seven (7) days of being selected. The corresponding “schwop” will only be sent out on receipt of the viewer’s item.
The on-air guest will also choose a next best “schwop” in the event that the winning viewer neglects to send their schwop to the programme in time.
5. Participation:
ITV reserves the right in their sole discretion to contact you on the phone number you provide in your telephone message or email message to confirm eligibility, as well as giving any additional information.
Neither ITV nor the programme producers guarantee that the programme will take place.
6. Restrictions:
The programme cannot accept items that the programme producers deem, in their sole discretion, to be broken, dangerous, unhygienic or where its safety cannot be proven, including but not limited to the following:
- Medication or solvents;
- Gas/oil appliances or batteries;
- Films or music that is either counterfeit, homemade or with a 18 certificate;
- Crash helmets, hard hats or protective headgear and clothes;
- Food or drink, poisonous, toxic or hazardous substances;
- Tobacco;
- Toys;
- Nightwear;
- Upholstered items that do not have the relevant safety labels;
- Used dentures, jewellery for pierced body-parts, cosmetics or toiletries;
- Used children’s shoes, clothing with drawstrings, cots, prams or nursery furniture;
- Weapons or realistic toy weapons, blades or objects that could be used as weapons;
- Mains electrical items;
- Large pieces of furniture; or
- Anything that the programme producers deem to be inappropriate.
