“WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE?” NEW YEAR SPECIAL – VIEWER COMPETITION: INTERACTION INFORMATION
Opening/closing date & time:
· Competition opens for entries via PRTS, SMS and online where stated during “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” (the ‘programme’) or as stated in any other promotional material.
· Competition closes for entries via PRTS, SMS and online at 5:00pm on Friday 13 January 2012.
Competition draw date:
Within one week of the closing date and time for all entries.
Method & cost of entry:
During the programme, celebrity contestants will take part in the studio game. Viewers will be offered the opportunity to enter a competition to win half of the money won by the celebrity contestants in the studio games as announced on air.
Entries on behalf of another person are void. Entries which are incomplete, inaudible, incomprehensible, or not received by the Promoter are void but may still be charged. The Promoter will not amend any information provided at the time of entering once entry to the competition has been made.
Entrants can enter in the following ways:
· PRTS Phone - call 0904 16 19 333and follow instructions; up to 3 entries per phone number. Entrants who enter twice from the same phone number will be invited to stay on the line on their second call to enter the competition a third time without additional charge. The entrant’s third entry must be made on the second call from that phone number. Each call costs no more than £1.54 from BT landlines. Other networks may be higher and from mobiles considerably more.
· SMS text – send a SMS text to 88323with A, B, C or D to indicate your answer to the question; up to 3 entries per phone number. SMS entrants will receive a SMS reply message acknowledging their SMS entry and inviting them to enter the competition via SMS a second time using the same mobile number to receive an additional entry into the competition without charge. Entrants who then send a second SMS text with their answer to 88323by the competition closing date and time will be entered into the draw three (3) times for a chance to win the prize. Each of the SMS entrant’s chargeable SMS text entries costs £1.50 plus one standard network rate message.
· Online – go to www.itv.com/millionaire and follow the instructions; up to 3 entries per phone number provided.
Eligibility:
You must be aged 18 years or over. By entering the competition you agree to your name and town of residence being published on www.itv.com/millionaire and www.itv.com/termsandconditions/winners during the programme and in any publicity materials. The Promoter reserves the right for the host of the programme to reveal on air the names and towns of residence of winners in subsequent programmes.
Prize:
The prize includes:
· A variable cash sum, which will be half of the total amount won by celebrity contestants during the programme. The value of the variable cash sum prize will be determined at the time when the studio game ends, which occurs if the celebrity contestants get a question wrong or when the claxon signals the end of a game. The variable cash sum will be paid by cheque in the winner’s name; and
· A “Live Like a Millionaire” holiday for seven (7) consecutive nights to the Maldives for the winner and one (1) adult companion, to include:
o Return economy class flights from London to Male International Airport, Maldives;
o Return Seaplane transfers to the hotel in the Maldives (subject to availability). If the Seaplane transfers are unavailable for any reason whatsoever, they will be replaced with return transfers by internal flight and speedboat;
o Seven (7) nights accommodation at the Waldorf Astoria, Maldives on a full-board basis (i.e. including breakfast, lunch and dinner but excluding drinks) based on the winner and their companion sharing a water villa (subject to availability);
o One (1) sixty (60) minute spa treatment for the winner and their companion;
o One (1) private sunset cruise for the winner and their companion with one (1) bottle of champagne and canapés;
o Travel insurance for the winner and the winner’s companion (subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider). The winner and/or their companion are responsible for meeting any costs related to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical conditions.
The holiday element of the prize must be booked and taken up within 12 months of winner confirmation and it is subject to availability. It excludes travel from 24 December 2012 to 25 February 2013 inclusive.
The winner and their companions must hold a current and valid passport and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry to the Maldives. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure from the UK when taking up the trip. It is the responsibility of the winner to (i) organize and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for the travelling party, (ii) ensure that the travelling party is adequately insured including without limitation covering overseas medical costs, and (iii) ensure that the travelling party adheres to the travel itinerary and other relevant safety instructions as set out by the prize provider. It is the responsibility of the winner to inform the prize provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the winner and/or their companion when taking up the prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.
It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that they and/or their companion adhere to the visa entry requirements to the Maldives. It is the responsibility of the winner to adhere to the local laws in the Maldives.
Please note, it is also recommended that the winner and their companions follow advice from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office at www.fco.gov.uk in respect of travelling to the Maldives before taking up the prize.
The prize excludes ground transfers in the UK not included in the prize, additional meals and drinks not included in the prize, excursions, attractions, treatments, car hire, personal expenses, visas and vaccinations and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.

Any invalidity or unenforceability of any provision under these terms and conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any of the remaining provisions.
