This year we encouraged the nation to do their bit in a Christmas knit for Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day raising over £8 million for our three amazing charities. In five years of fundraising, Text Santa has now raised over £29,000,000. This year’s proceeds will directly benefit three charities Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish® UK and Save the Children as 100% of all money raised goes directly to the charities.
On Friday 18 December, schools, work places and groups of friends, wore their festive jumpers with pride, and made their woolly worthy by donating to the cause. Millions then tuned in that evening on ITV for our three-hour Christmas charity appeal spectacular where we entertained the nation and asked for help in giving hope this Christmas to families in difficulty.
We’re proud to be supporting the work of Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish UK and Save the Children. From helping those affected by crises, to granting wishes to children fighting life-threatening conditions, to funding nurses so those with cancer get the care they need, Text Santa will give hope to families in the UK and overseas.
