The People's Projects gave you the chance to decide how National Lottery funding can make a difference in your local community.
How the grants are awarded
Five local community projects and organisations in each of our 19 News regions competed for public votes. The three projects from each region that received the highest number of votes will receive up to £50,000 each. The remaining two organisations from each region will be considered for grants of up to £5,000 each. The process was independently adjudicated by Electoral Reform Services.

£3 million of National Lottery funding is up for grabs. With 95 organisations shortlisted across the UK, we want you to vote for the projects you would like to receive funding.
Groups are competing for up to £50,000 of funding to improve the lives of people in their communities. Since 2005 when the initiative was known as ‘The People’s Millions’, National Lottery grants worth around £36 million have been awarded to 770 Good Causes across the UK.
Voting will be open for two weeks from 9am on Monday 20th March 2017 until noon on Monday 3rd April 2017 and projects will be featured during our evening Regional News programmes throughout this period of voting.
Please re-visit this page on Monday 20th March 2017, when at 9am the campaign will be launched in full. Further information will be available, including a link to take you through to vote for projects in your region!
