Provides free help, support and information for children (and their parents) and adults who have any form of disfigurement. The aim is to build effective coping strategies and self-confidence. It also works with healthcare professionals, schools and others to promote awareness about disfigurement and its effects, as well as information and advice for employers to encourage equal opportunities in the workplace and advice for health-care professionals in developing new models of health-care. Changing Faces is now the official home of skin camouflage. The programme was established in 1975 by the Red Cross and since then it has helped tens of thousands of people to grow in confidence and independence.

We help by providing factual information and links to appropriate medical establishments experienced in treating these condition. We also provide a friendly and confidential telephone helpline to all those affected.

This would include professional lessons on camouflage makeup and hair styling as well as a mentorship program that brings burns survivors together to support each other.
The Healing Foundation is a national fundraising charity championing the cause of people living with disfigurement and visible loss of function, by funding research into pioneering surgical and psychological healing techniques. Through research, we also raise awareness about the causes and provide information about the sources of support.
