Phil whips up delicious warm buttermilk pan scones with clotted cream using a simple tasty recipe.
He says: " I have given measured weights, but you can just add the flour to the buttermilk, egg and baking powder until you have a thickish batter if its easier. The secret is to not overwork the gluten in the flour, or the scones will be tough and chewy."

Phil says: "This dish is a bit of a mish-mash, and doesn’t look particularly nice but I think its very satisfying to eat, and its a great one pan dish.
The secret here is to prepare everything before you go, so you have to concentrate on is the cooking!"
