Hi everyone – Get the Look For Less expert Alison Cork here!

Our first makeover in Birmingham was fantastic  - we were able to make a faithful copy of Ben De Lisi’s  bedroom, and the star turn was definitely the mirrored glass partition wall, which not only gave Hayley the much needed storage she wanted, but also made the room seem twice as big.

Hayley really has her work cut out with her two boys, both of whom have been diagnosed as autistic, so more than anything else I wanted to give her a relaxing space she could call her own.

The light white décor, colour accents of red and lots of mirrored glass made the room seem really positive and uplifting. My favourite items were the customized cushions and throw, and perhaps best of all, the display units with the white ceramics – the effect was lovely and best of all, the ceramics came from high street stores and charity shops, costing just a few pounds.

Hayley was very moved when she saw her room, which made me want to cry too – just a few changes and we made her room a special place in which she can relax, away from her everyday pressures.

Job done!
