We're sending Diarmuid Gavin around the country to surprise viewers with a garden makeover, and today he's heading to the seaside town of Scarborough to Sow the Seeds of Love for Tony and Alix Mollica in their new garden.
Tony collapsed last year and was diagnosed with a brain illness. He went from being a physically fit and healthy man, to being bedbound in hospital for six months. The family have moved into a specially adapted house that Tony can live in comfortably; however, at present, the garden is inaccessible due to Tony’s condition.
Diarmuid plans to convert the garden into an area in which Tony can walk safely, grow vegetables and spend time with his family.
