It's just heartbreaking leaving him. You just want to take him with you.
– Sarah Medley
When Phill Wills and Sarah Pedley were first told that their son, Josh, 13, had severe autism and learning disabilities, their world changed forever.
Then, unable to get the support services locally that he and his family needed, the decision was made to send Josh to a care centre in Birmingham, 260 miles away from the family's home in Cornwall. For 18 months Phill and Sarah have had to make the 500-mile round trip just to give their son a hug, and because of this, Josh's condition has deteriorated.
Phil and Sarah, who are now separated, join us to tell their heartbreaking story as they petition to #BringJoshHome and raise awareness of other families torn apart through lack of local care.
