Do parents have a duty to tell their kids they're fat?
Last week obesity specialist Alan Jackson published an article claiming that he meets "deluded families every week" that would not dare call their children fat, even if they are clearly overweight. He says that it is about time we stop cloaking the problem by avoiding the 'f' word.
Katie Hopkins and Sonia Poulton join the debate. Katie agrees, saying that if a child is overweight, it is ultimately a parent's fault. On the other hand, Sonia Poulton believes that a child should never be told that they are overweight as it will mentally affect them. So, with a third of children in the UK overweight or obese, we ask the question - is it a parent's duty to tell your child that they are fat?
