To the outside world, Michelle Mills, 31, and Edward Miller, 20, had proven their critics wrong; despite over a 10 year age gap, the couple seemed to be happy and settled in the idyllic cottage they shared in a Leicestershire village.
However, on one fateful night in 2012, the couple became embroiled in a volatile row. The situation escalated, and Michelle grabbed a knife and stabbed Eddie a total of 24 times. Despite paramedics' best efforts to save him, Eddie died at the scene. On 26th April 2013, Michelle was found guilty of his murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Now, a year after Michelle's conviction, Eddie's grieving mother, Sara Westle is speaking out as part of the documentary series Britain's Darkest Taboos. She joins us now to tell more about how she lost her beloved son to the older woman he adored.
