This 'Super Mum' I don't like, because I had to do what I did for my children
– Vikie Shanks
When her husband tragically took his own life in 2007, Vikie Shanks was left to raise her seven children alone. This, in itself, would prove a huge challenge for most, but when you add to the equation the fact that six of her children have autism, two also have cerebral palsy and another has severe dyslexia, it soon becomes clear that Vikie really is a mum in a million.
Now, against all odds, Vikie's children are leading happy healthy lives and Vikie has put pen to paper to share her story with the world. She joins us now to tell us more.
