Fifty-year-old Colin Ketteringham was like any other middle aged man, until in November 2011 the former solider received news that changed his life forever.
After going to the doctor with several symptoms, Colin was told he had a condition called Multiple System Atrophy, a degenerative neurological disease that affects nerve cells. It means Colin's brain stem is slowly dying, which will lead him to being totally dependent on other people.
The condition will eventually kill Colin and one of his last wishes is to take his wife Louise, and their four children on the holiday of a lifetime to Florida. The family have been fundraising but are still quite a bit short of the total they need, so today, unbeknowst to Colin, we're going to make his Dream Come True.
