A by-election candidate made headlines last week when she suggested her son would have to be educated at a privately funded school in order to train as a surgeon.

With the number of pupils attending private schools increasing, and evidence suggesting better A Level grades at a privately educated school, we're asking, is it wrong to buy your child's education?
