Politician and UKIP parliamentary candidate Winston McKenzie made headlines this week when he spoke out about same sex couples adopting a child.
According to Mr McKenzie, allowing gay couples to adopt is seen as a form of child abuse and a violation of children's human rights. The UKIP member says he stands by his statement, and as a practising Christian, believes gay adoption is against his religious beliefs.
