On Thursday, hundreds of people in over 50 countries worldwide stood together to protest against the cruel way they believe that animals are farmed and treated.
These protests did not, however, take the form of simple marches or peaceful petitions, rather people gathered in public and some branded themselves with scalding hot irons, leaving the number 269 seared into their skin.
One man who subjected himself to this brutal ordeal was 22-year-old law student Arun Mathai, who joins us now to detail why he believes his actions will highlight the plight of animals worldwide.
Self-confessed carnivore, Sally Windsor, however, could not be more opposed to Arun's actions. She finds vegetarians pious and offensive, and thinks the act of human branding is dangerous and irresponsible.
