He plays the drums and the tambourine... He's got a great singing voice... He's the monster of rock who definitely has the X Factor… We’re talking about Elmo!
Enthusiastic, friendly and cheerful , the loveable, fluffy red monster Elmo has been a favourite amongst children across the world for nearly three decades. He lives in America on Sesame Street with friends such Big Bird and Bert and Ernie and has recently been learning Maths and Science!
Elmo has returned to London with his family to visit all the sites he didn't get to see last time like Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and the London Olympic Stadium. Elmo is making a special guest appearance alongside his friend Miss Jen in the Milkshake! studio this week. Each day that Elmo is on Milkshake, there will be a new theme, including Dressing Up and Around The World.
The famous character is also a friend to many celebrities. In February, Usher appeared on Sesame Street in to teach Elmo about the word volunteer and many other celebrities have visited as well, helping him to count and learn new words. In the new series airing in September Elmo will be joined by Jay Sean, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts and Robin Williams!
