Coronation Street legend Liz Dawn is living with an incurable lung disease and wants to warn others to get checked for lung problems.
Playing battleaxe Vera Duckworth on the nation's most famous street for over thirty years made Liz Dawn one of the country's most celebrated actresses.
Since being forced to quit her beloved role in 2008 due to ill health, life for Liz has changed dramatically. In 2004 she was diagnosed with an incurable lung disease and recently doctors revealed the heart-breaking news that there is nothing more that can be done for her.
Liz joins us today to talk openly about her health battles, and how she plans to celebrate the time she has left. And Liz will also be fondly remembering her dear friend and co-star, Bill Tarmey who passed away last year.
