Today Jeff meets Alex Joseph, foley editor/supervisor on such blockbusters as Casino Royale, Mamma Mia and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

A foley artist provides sound effects for films, TV and computer games, and the name is derived from the legendary Jack Foley, a pioneer in sound effects. It is Alex's job to coordinate, supervise and edit the artists' work for the final movie.

Jeff joins Alex in the Foley Suite at Twickenham Studios to learn about the secrets of the art, which seems to involve mangling a lot of fruit and vegetables!

Jeff also talks to one of Britain's leading stage and screen actors Julian Glover. Fans of Bond, Empire Strikes Back and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade will recognise Julian instantly as the villain in those movies - his end in The Last Crusade is particularly grisly. Fortunately, Julian's chat with Jeff ends on a better note as they chat about Roger Moore's practical jokes, why you should never throw away a movie prop and a villainous stare masterclass.

We also see the early stages of Alison Hammmond's prosthetic make-up - just wait till you see the finished product on Thursday - kindly provided by Charlotte and Ellie who studied at Delamar Academy of Make-up, a private college that has trained Oscar, Bafta and IIFA award winners. Charlotte and Ellie completed the Once Year Higher Education Certificate in Professional Make-up Design, choosing Advanced Prosthetics as their elected module.
