Jeremy Hunt is to launch a wide-ranging attack on GPs, claiming some do not even know their patients’ names. In a major speech, the Health Secretary will condemn the out-of-hours services where ‘you speak to a doctor who doesn’t know you from Adam’ and insist family doctors must once again take ultimate responsibility for round-the-clock care. Is this fair on GPs who already struggle to cope with the huge volume of patients? Does the Health Secretary have a point? Let us know.
Young people who delay flying the nest are apparently cramping their parent’s style. Research has discovered a whopping three-million parents still have their grown-up children living with them at home. The average age of the ‘failed fledglings’ as they have been dubbed is 27 but some are in their 40s! Is this you? Are your adult children still under your roof? Are you kid that never moved out?
