Coronation Street star Antony Cotton reveals all about his latest hard-hitting storyline, which sees his troubled character become homeless after a series of unfortunate circumstances.

Over the coming weeks, viewers will see Sean’s life go from bad to worse as he ends up being robbed and violently beaten, in what Antony calls his ‘darkest storyline yet’.

'My ex-boyfriend arranged my acid attack'

Ellie Chessell was left with devastating scars in May last year after she was the victim of a terrifying acid attack on the orders of her ex-boyfriend Claudio Gouveia.

Ellie was attacked as she left a hotel in the Algarve, Portugal, where she was working as a travel rep, before spending months in hospital recovering from second and third degree burns.

Last month, Gouveia was jailed for 12 years for his role in the attack, and over one year on, Ellie is still struggling to live with the physical and mental scars of the attack.

Sir Cliff Richard has been given £210,000 damages after winning his privacy case against the BBC.

The judge said the 77-year-old singer is entitled to more money - to be decided at a later date - because coverage of a police raid infringed his rights.
