We fixed our Dad and cured his Type 2 diabetes

We sat him down and we said to him... we've done this because we don't want to lose you

– Anthony Whitington

What do you do when a family member or loved one won’t listen to your fears over their health? For film-makers Anthony and Ian Whitington - they decided to make their own father a project as they battled to reverse his Type 2 diabetes diagnosis by training him up to take on a 100-mile bike ride and getting him to eat a healthy diet.

But it wasn’t easy. 63 year old Geoff is extremely stubborn, was facing an amputation due to his condition and was diagnosed with kidney cancer shortly after starting his new lifestyle but after 18 months of training with his sons, he completed a 100 mile cycle event last August and has been declared cured of Type 2 diabetes and clear of cancer.
