Whilst the thought of skydiving from a helicopter at 10,000 feet or flinging yourself off a humongous cliff-top in New Zealand may not appeal to everyone, there's actually a really good reason why Tom is putting himself through such challenges on Tom Daley Goes Global.
After being diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2006, Tom's dad, Rob Daley, sadly lost his battle with cancer in 2011.
Since then, Tom has been a keen supporter of The Brain Tumour Charity, letting everyone know about their hard work and the continued support they offered to his family during his dad's time of illness.
The Brain Tumour Charity gave my family a huge amount of support throughout my Dad’s illness. As a patron of the charity these challenges seemed like a great opportunity to help raise some money for this incredibly worthwhile cause
– Tom Daley
By challenging himself to take on mammoth adrenaline-filled challenges in every episode of Tom Daley Goes Global, the Olympic diver is hoping to continue his support of The Brain Tumour Charity and raise lots of money for their cause.
