ITV4 presenter Gary Imlach says the case of Alberto Contador, who faces a hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport soon after the 2011 race, is "uniquely mad" even for the Tour.

The three-time Tour winner Contador tested positive for a small amount on clenbuterol at last year Tour.

"The Tour has enough layers of intrigue - it doesn't need any more from the outside," says Imlach, who fronts ITV4's coverage of the race this year.
