Matt Rendell remembers the famous cyclist Jean Stablinski - the rider who first suggested racing bikes over the famous cobbles that formed part of the 2010 Tour de France.
The son of a Polish miner (who was killed in a mining accident), Stablinski was a miner himself before turning pro as a cyclist and becoming a team-mate of the great Jacques Anquetil.
