Cavendish and Wiggins talk at Tour de France 2011 teams presentation as champion Contador is booed
The 22 teams contesting the 2011 Tour de France have been presented at Puy du Fou in the Vendee, with current champion Alberto Contador of Saxo-Bank booed by the crowd.
Contador won his third Tour de France title last year but tested positive for a small amount of clenbuterol during the race. He was exonerated by the Spanish Cycling Federation, but now faces a Court of Arbitration for Sport hearing next month after the UCI (International Cycling Union) challenged the decision.
And the story is clearly not going to go away in 2011, with the crowd registering their disapproval of Contador with jeers and whistles as the Saxo-Bank team was presented to the crowd.
British sprinter Mark Cavendish of HTC-Highroad and Team Sky's Bradley Wiggins also talked at the presentation in the Vendee region, where the race begins on Saturday 2 July.
