Geraint Thomas brushed off concerns about the danger of a crash-filled Stage 5 of the 2011 Tour de France and told Ned Boulting: "that's what I live for".
Thomas helped team leader Bradley Wiggins through a difficult day when his team-mate crashed and needed a bike change, but the Welshman insists relished the challenge.
"It was very stressful with the wind ... I loved it though, to be honest. That's what I live for, it was just good fun."
