Andre Greipel played down his rivalry with former team-mate Mark Cavendish following the Omega Pharma-Lotto rider's win on Stage 10.
Asked by Ned Boulting if the win was made even more special to outpace his old rival in the sprint, Greipel said: "It's special for every rider to win a stage here in the Tour de France. I'm really happy that I could win the stage here, especially for the team.
"I never said that I'm faster than him [Cavendish] but I did say that I deserve to take part in this race ... Now I've found a team that's given me a chance to take part in this race and I'm really happy."
