The Schleck brothers Frank and Andy have become syonymous with the Tour de France in recent years. Of the siblings from Luxemburger, younger brother Andy has most distinguished himself, finishing runner-up to Alberto Contador in 2009 and 2010.
Whether he will finally be able to go one better this year, with Contador in such supreme form, is open to question. But there seems little doubt that 25-year-old Schleck, now riding with newly-formed Luxembourg-based team Leopard Trek, will be a force in the Tour for years to come.
Andy Schleck has taken home the white jersey - for best young rider - for the past three Tours de France, and he won the same prize at the Giro d'Italia in 2007.
Other notable victories which prove his class as a rider include his success in Liege-Bastogne-Liege in 2009. This followed his brother's success in the same event the previous year.
Brother Frank claimed victory in the Tour of Switzerland in 2010 but his nasty crash on the cobblestones of Stage 3 in 2010, in which he broke his collarbone and was forced to withdraw from the Tour, severely hampered Andy's maillot jaune prospects.
In that sense it was something of an achievement that the younger Schleck pushed Alberto Contador so close, given the absence of his brother and pacesetter for most of the 2010 Tour.
Indeed, but for Schleck losing his chain on Stage 15 last year whilst leading the general classification, he might well have pipped Contador to the line in Paris.
"Chaingate" was without doubt the most memorable and controversial moment in the 2010 Tour de France which sparked off a huge debate about cycling and sporting ethics as Contador capitalised on his rival's misfortune, attacking up the mountain as Schleck struggled to fix his chain.
Contador gained 39 seconds in that stage - and he won the Tour by 39 seconds. Schleck will be determined to avoid any such mishaps this year.
The Schleck brothers come from an illustrious racing heritage - father Johnny Schleck rode in the Tour de France and the Vuelta between 1965 and 1974.
If the brothers stay fit then they will almost certainly have a presence on the podium in 2011, and you can guarantee they will be at the forefront of all the stages that test the peloton's climbing ability, particularly in the punishing final week.
