ITV4 analyst Chris Boardman explains why he believes Bradley Wiggins is the favourite to win the 2012 Tour de France.
A former yellow-jersey wearer himself, Boardman believes that Wiggins' form and tactical ability will help him to become Britain's first Tour de France winner.
"There's a huge amount of pressure on Bradley, because of the nature of the stages themselves, I can empathise because there's a lot of expectations there," Boardman says.
"For me Bradley is the favourite. I'm a believer in the law of averages. And Bradley's been close now for a couple of years.
"This year, he's clearly in great shape. But he hasn't over-exploited that, he hasn't gone out and carried on using the form until it's gone.
"He's popped up, put in some fantastic performances, and then stopped which is the right thing to do. So his profile this year looks good."
