Day by day, ITV.com/tour will bring you the best images from the magical 2012 edition of the Tour de France. The first week takes the riders, support staff, media and travelling spectators from the Grand Depart in Liege around the flats of north-western France.

The second week sees the Tour cut back through the middle and over to the east of France where the Alps will provide the first big test for the main Tour contenders.

The final week sees the Tour roadshow move along the south of France and into the fearsome Pyrenees where the men will be separated from the boys. Once they have put their bodies through the punishing mountains, they roll back up the middle of the country into Paris and Champs-Elysees finish that caps three arduous weeks.
