Andy Schleck will lead the RadioShack-Leopard Trek team at this year’s Tour de France. Luxembourg's foremost rider missed the 2012 Tour due to a pelvis fracture and he is still fighting back to peak form and fitness.
The team's general manager Luca Guercilena said: "We are happy to see that Andy is back. Nobody in the team ever had doubts about the talent of Andy. Little by little he has come back to the level where we expect him.
"The Tour of Switzerland encouraged and convinced us to give him the role he deserves and to give him the opportunity to have dedicated riders surrounding and supporting him."
In terms of great Tour characters, German veteran Jens Voigt is always good value. Now 41, Voigt is back for what will probably be his final Tour – enjoy him while you can.
