Dave Brailsford insists Team Sky's Bradley Wiggins was never troubled on Stage 13 despite a determined attack by Cadel Evans on the only climb of the day.

"He never looked to be in any danger. The important thing today was to be at the front, and we've done that," Brailsford said.

Brailsford's words were backed up by Wiggins' powerful end to the stage, when he led out team-mate Edvald Boasson Hagen for the sprint - the Norwegian finished third.
