'I never doubted I'd make it to Paris,' insists Mark Cavendish ahead of his chance of fourth straight Champs-Elysees win
Team Sky sprinter Mark Cavendish revealed to ITV Sport reporter Ned Boulting that he can't wait to head down the Champs Elysees on Sunday and go for his fourth successive Paris stage win - and that he never doubted he'd make it this far.
The Manx Missile won Stage 18 on Friday to lift hopes that he can make it three stage wins in the 2012 race, after helping Bradley Wiggins in his quest for le maiilot jaune for the last two weeks.
"I always get to Paris. It's why we do it, you know?
"It's such a spectacular feeling to roll into Paris ... the noise from the crowd, it just hits you, it gives you goosebumps. You know you've reached Paris then."
