David Millar described the Tour de France's latest pile-up on Stage 6 of the race as "the scariest crash I've ever been in".

Millar told ITV Sport's Matt Rendell: It is the scariest crash I've ever been in. God knows how it happened. Some idiot... It just shouldn't happen like that.
"Once it started, we were just piling into each other at 60 or 70 kilometres per hour. I was pretty lucky to be honest."
Millar added that his team-mate Ryder Hesjedal may be forced to pull out of the race as a consequence of injuries sustained in the same accident.
