Millar joins Hesjedal for Garmin Barracuda
Scottish veteran David Millar has been named in Team Garmin-Barracuda's Tour de France team alongside Giro d'Italia champion Ryder Hesjedal and Dan Martin.
Millar, who was controversially named in the British Olympic team recently, will be looking to impress in the time trials along with helping out Hesjedal.
Whether the Canadian can find the reserves of energy to contend overall, just one month after his famous Giro win is another matter.
Millar will be riding in his 11th Tour and will be keen to help Martin through his debut, despite the Irishman's pedigree as 1987 Tour winner Stephen Roche's nephew.
Tom Danielson, who finished in the top 10 last year, and perennial GC contender Christian Vande Velde will also be on board for Garmin-Barracuda.
David Zabriskie will line up alongside sprint kings Tyler Farrar and South African Robbie Hunter with 2010 Paris-Roubaix winner Johan Vansummeren completing the squad.
Team Garmin-Barracuda director of competition Allan Peiper said: "We have put together a well balanced team with an emphasis on support for our leader, Ryder.
"We have Christian and Tom, both excellent climbers who each have had great GC (general classification) rides in the Tour and have shown their strength in recent racing.
"Dan Martin, making his Tour debut, rounds out the climbers of the team.
"The climbers will have the support of TT specialists David Millar and David Zabriskie along with Johan Vansummeren, who will also be able to help out sprinters Farrar and Hunter in the quest for stage wins."
