Team Garmin's Director of Competition Allan Peiper praised the attitude of David Millar after the British rider won Stage 12 of the Tour de France.

Millar was part of the leading pack for much of the Stage, and it took a sprint finish for him to win the fourth Stage victory of his career.

"He [Millar] was the best bike rider, the most savvy, and is a gentleman to boot," Peiper explained.
