100th Repatriation

The repatriation ceremonies at Wootton Bassett are always sad occasions. Today was the one hundredth time the people of the town had turned out to mourn the deaths of British service personnel. It brought added poignancy to the event.

Among those who've played their part since the very beginning is bell ringer Roger Haydock; his presence not seen, but heard clearly in the near-silence that settles over the town. .
