A final farewell

Roads were closed in Torquay today as family, friends, neighbours, and school mates gathered to mourn two children killed in a house fire in the town last month. Hundreds packed the church at Ellacombe for their funeral.

The tragedy has brought demands for smoke alarms to be made compulsory in all rented properties. The fire brigade has fitted hundreds in the area free since the fire
