FIFA World Ranking: 21
Head coach: Safet Susic
How they qualified: Pipped Greece at the post to win their group. They scored 30 goals in ten matches (only three other European teams scored more), and conceded just six.
World Cup pedigree: This is Bosnia's first appearance at a World Cup finals.
Main man: Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is a formidable target man.
One to watch: AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who first made his name at Lyon, is a hugely gifted playmaker.
What are their chances? Making progress out of Group F is a realistic target – under Safet Susic they are tough to break down and lively on the break – but they don't have enough strength in depth to hang around until the later stages of the tournament; and a lot depends on the fitness and form of Dzeko and Pjanic.
