Tom Ince not quite ready for World Cup place - England coach Lewington
England assistant coach Ray Lewington has revealed that he and Roy Hodgson considered promoting Tom Ince from the England Under-21 squad, but the Blackpool midfielder, currently on loan at Crystal Palace, looks like having to wait until after the 2014 World Cup to earn his first cap.
"Tom Ince is quality," Lewington said.
"Roy and I have seen him. He is one that we have been looking to pencil in a couple of times.
"I think it's a little bit too late for the World Cup but he is certainly England's future. He is a really good top-quality player."
