Funeral for Helen

For thirty years after she died, Helen Smith's body was kept in a Yorkshire mortuary. That was until today, when her funeral went ahead.

For all that time her father Ron wouldn't allow it to happen. He fought a bitter legal battle with the authorities, insisting his daughter had been murdered and the crime covered up.

But despite years of his campaigning, no-one has ever been prosecuted. Ron finally changed his mind after an appeal from his ex-wife. Chris Kiddey was at today's service.
