Should prisoners vote?

A child killer who is serving a life sentence in Wakefield jail is campaigning for all prison inmates to be allowed to vote in elections.

Peter Chester, who raped and killed his niece, has argued that his human rights are being infringed because he can't take part in the democratic process. And one day he might get what he wants.

That's because Parliament is looking at the question of whether those behind bars should be able to vote. The killer's campaign has outraged the mother of the little girl he murdered. Tina Gelder reports.
