How to help someone bereaved 

Cruse Bereavement Care exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss. The organisation provides counselling and support and offers information, advice, education and training services.The helpline is open Monday-Friday 9.30-5pm (excluding bank holidays), with extended hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, when they're open until 8pm. Weekend 10.00 - 2pm.

Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland (CBCS) exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people in Scotland. We seek to help anyone experiencing bereavement to understand their grief and cope with their loss. We work primarily through volunteers, providing free care to bereaved people. We also train and educate individuals and organisations who may in turn be able to contribute to the well-being of bereaved people.

WAY - Widowed & Young

WAY offers support and friendship to young bereaved people, whatever their circumstances, however long ago their partner died. We help men and women up to the age of 50, parents and those without children.
