Boyband: "we're doing what we love!"
Talk about getting their groove on! When dance troupe Boyband bounded onto the BGT stage on Saturday night, they never dreamed they'd be leaving it with a place booked in the semi finals.
"It was incredible! We honestly weren't expecting that," recalls 18-year-old Dylan. "When we saw Ant and Dec walking off the stage, we sort of guessed they were going to press the golden buzzer but we still couldn't believe it. "
The five-piece dance troupe from London brought the house down with their spectacular blend of acrobatic tumbles and backflips combined with hip hop dance moves.
Away from the spotlight, Mike, Dylan, Corey, Jaih and Mikey are the best of friends, and train as often as they can in-between their respective studies.
"We don't have a lot of money, so we train wherever we can - sometimes in the street - as we can't always afford studio space," says Dylan.
And what about their name? "A mentor suggested it. We're just five ordinary guys who want to inspire people by doing what we love - it felt right," says Dylan.
"We don't just want to be another dance group, we've got so much more to give."
With the the live shows looming at the end of May, the boys are already hard at work on a new routine. So, what can we expect next from Boyband?
"We've only shown about five per cent of what we can do! The tricks will be bigger, they'll be more creativity - it'll be a whole other level!"
We're exhausted just thinking about it...
Britain's got talent returns next Saturday on ITV.
