AMDTuning.com driver Mike Bushell has been released from hospital following his crash in yesterday afternoon's Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship qualifying session.
Bushell had been taken to Southampton General Hospital with a suspected broken femur, but doctors diagnosed ligament damage and discharged him on Saturday evening.
He will miss today's races at Thruxton, but is expected to make a full recovery.
"The most important thing is that Mike has escaped more serious injury as a result of the accident," AmDTuning.com team boss Shaun Hollamby said. "While it's a disappointing way for our weekend to finish, I'd like to put on record my thanks to the marshals and medical teams who were on hand for their fantastic response to the incident.
"As is always the case, they did a brilliant job in dealing with the situation."
