Smiley returns to Norlin, but Newsham retires

After the news that the outfit would switch to Honda for the 2018 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, BTC Norlin Racing has today announced that Chris Smiley will once again race for the team throughout the coming campaign.

The Northern Irishman returns for a third consecutive campaign in Britain’s premier motor sport championship and he is keen to jump into proven title-winning machinery in the Civic Type R come Season Launch in March.

Newsham in at PowerMaxed as fatherhood looms for Fletcher

Power Maxed Racing has confirmed that Dave Newsham will be standing in for Kelvin Fletcher at Knockhill this weekend as Fletcher is expecting the birth of his first child.

Newsham will compete in rounds 19, 20 and 21 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship on home soil north of the border, driving Fletcher's PMR Chevrolet Cruze ahead of the latter's return at Rockingham at the end of August.

Newsham "sad to leave BTCC" as he launches rallycross campaign

BTCC race winner Dave newsham has announced he won't be returning to the championship this season, but will instead be racing in the British Rallycross Championship.

Newsham tried rallycross in 2014, taking part in the Croft Grand Prix, but this will be the first time he has competed over a full season. However Newsham is staying with the Power Maxed Racing team with which he raced in the BTCC in 2015. The team will enter a 600 BHP, All-Wheel-Drive Ford Fiesta in the Supercar class.

Newsham joins Power Maxed Racing

Power Maxed Racing has today confirmed the signing of 2014 Jack Sears Trophy winner Dave Newsham to drive in this year’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship. Newsham will race in the teams’ first year under new ownership and will be behind the wheel of the #17 Chevrolet Cruze Saloon for the 2015 season.

Newsham takes on rallycross challenge at Croft

Following a successful end to his Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship campaign, Dave Newsham will make a quick return to action this weekend when he takes part in the annual Rallycross Grand Prix event at Croft.
